Flexible/Accessable Seating
During the 2026-2027 school year, the Dolphin Foundation will raise money to support flexible seating in our classrooms at Dana Hills High School.
Today’s students learn in many different ways. Flexible furniture allows teachers to quickly reconfigure a classroom for direct instruction, small-group collaboration, hands-on projects, class discussions, and independent work. Instead of being limited by rows of stationary desks, teachers can create learning environments that encourage participation, communication, creativity, and connection.
Flexible seating also helps make classrooms more inclusive. Adjustable and movable furniture can improve accessibility for students with physical disabilities and mobility needs. A variety of seating arrangements can also support students with ADHD, autism, sensory needs, anxiety, and other learning differences by providing greater comfort, appropriate movement, and choices that may help them focus and participate more fully.
